Don't Worry

I’m not going to tell the mother with a son in Afghanistan not to worry or the mother that has a child fighting cancer not to worry.  There are times to worry because your heart has no other choice, but so much of the worrying we do is such a waste of effort and only causes unneeded stress.  They say 99% of the things we worry about never come to pass, so give some real thought to what you want to worry about.  Does worrying fix it?  Do you know how to fix it? Focus on pleasant things or things you’re a grateful for. Sometimes you need to put a lot of effort into being happy.

Your mind set has to change when you listen to Bobby McFerrin’s wonderful happy whistling song.  I can’t whistle, but if I could I would whistle it when ever I begin to worry or get down.
