My life experiences, my foster parenting,
my jobs, books I have read have taught me that people can be ugly and cruel,
but I can’t let that change my outlook on life.
I know that at the age of 65 I am still naïve in many ways and I have
often laughed and said ignorance is bliss, but I have a need to be a bit naive and
ignorant to maintain my sanity and trust in tomorrow. I can not let people make me bitter. We all hear the daily ugly news and think the
world has gone mad, but my spirit must go on.
So ignorant and naïve as I am, I will be strong and let my spirit
believe in man kind. We shall overcome.
